<description>Another excellent folk tale ahead of its time is: A Weave of Words (an Armenian folktale retold by Robert San Souci).

The heroine (a commoner) insists that her suitor (a high-born prince with no skills to his credit) learn a trade with his hands, which he does to successfully win her hand.

When the prince is kidnapped, he has an opportunity to use his newfound skills, and which enables the heroine to come to his rescue! A rare example of a man in peril being saved by his woman!
